Silver/manganese dioxide nanorod catalyzed hydrogen-borrowing reactions and tert-butyl ester synthesis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Silver/manganese dioxide (Ag@MnO 2 ) nanorods are synthesized and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, powder diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy. It was discovered that Ag@MnO can realize hydrogen-borrowing reactions in high yields also effective for the synthesis of tert-butyl esters from aryl cyanides hydroperoxide a short period time. Mechanistic experiments revealed this catalytic system acts as Lewis acid reactions, while occurs through radical pathway. This is first report on excellent activity catalyst.

Hydrogen-Borrowing and Interrupted-Hydrogen-Borrowing Reactions of Ketones and Methanol Catalyzed by Iridium**

Reported herein is the use of catalytic [{Ir(cod)Cl}2 ] to facilitate hydrogen-borrowing reactions of ketone enolates with methanol at 65 °C. An oxygen atmosphere accelerates the process, and when combined with the use of a bulky monodentate phosphine ligand, interrupts the catalytic cycle by preventing enone reduction. Subsequent addition of pro-nucleophiles to the reaction mixture allowed a o...

Ruthenium-Catalyzed Amination of Secondary Alcohols using Borrowing Hydrogen Methodology.

A new ruthenium complex catalyzes the amination of primary and secondary alcohols and the regioselective mono- and sequential diamination of diols via the borrowing hydrogen pathway. Several variations on new intra- and intermolecular cyclizations of aminoalcohols, diols and diamines lead to heterocyclic ring systems.

Carbon dioxide mediates Mn(II)-catalyzed decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and peroxidation reactions.

Mn(II) can catalyze the decomposition of H(2)O(2) and, in the presence of H(2)O(2), can catalyze the oxidation of NADH. Strikingly, these processes depend on the simultaneous presence of both CO(2) and HCO(3)(-). This explains the exponential dependence of the rates on [HCO(3)(-)], previously noted by other workers. These processes are inhibited by Mn-superoxide dismutase, establishing the gene...

Isotope Effects as Probes for Enzyme Catalyzed Hydrogen-Transfer Reactions

Kinetic Isotope effects (KIEs) have long served as a probe for the mechanisms of both enzymatic and solution reactions. Here, we discuss various models for the physical sources of KIEs, how experimentalists can use those models to interpret their data, and how the focus of traditional models has grown to a model that includes motion of the enzyme and quantum mechanical nuclear tunneling. We the...

Enantioselective Diels-Alder reactions catalyzed by hydrogen bonding.

Like molecules of life (e.g., proteins and DNA), many pharmaceutical drugs are also asymmetric (chiral); they are not superimposable on their mirror images. One mirror image form (enantiomer) of a drug can have desirable activity, the other not. Consequently, the development of methods for the selective synthesis of one enantiomer is of great scientific and economic importance. We report here t...
